Arkansas Food Jobs seeks an experienced Pastry Cook for an exclusive FastCook (temp-to-perm) assignment. We are seeking individuals with 3-5 years of professional kitchen experience, and at least one full year in an upscale pastry kitchen. Hours are 2 to 10 p.m. with one weekend day and one weekday off per week.
You will be working under seasoned professional pastry chefs and you must be able to execute their recipes, demonstrating a clear understanding of the working parts of a professional pastry kitchen. You may also have the opportunity to help the chefs develop new recipes and products.
You MUST be able to scale, divide and multiply recipes correctly every time. You also MUST have basic pastry knowledge, including meringue, sable dough, cookies, cakes, mousses, use of a rolling pin, etc.
This position offers excellent pay. If you perform well during your assignment, this can become a full-time direct hire with excellent employer benefits.
