Dempsey Bakery, the 100% gluten-free bakery in Little Rock, seeks a Baker to help us create beautiful, delicious, allergy- and intolerance-safe baked goods for our dedicated customers.
While experience with gluten-free baking is not required, we are requiring at least one year of experience in commercial baking in a professional kitchen. Must have a proven track record of being dependable, reliable and detail-oriented.
The Baker will perform all types of mixing and baking: breads, cakes, desserts, etc. He/she will also perform food prep for sauces, soups, fillings, icings, and mixes. Some decorating will also be required for pastries, cookies and cakes (decorating experience is a plus but not required).
Our Baker will come in to the store at 4:30 a.m. to start the day’s work.

In 2008 the first member of the Dempsey family was diagnosed with health issues that required a Gluten-Free diet. We learned it was a genetic disorder, and one-by-one three generations of Dempseys discovered that although they had different symptoms, the common denominator was gluten.
Not wanting to face a lifetime loss of pretty birthday cakes and special treats for the grandchildren, Paula Dempsey put her considerable energy to work on her dream – finding a Gluten-Free baker and starting a bakery that serves her family and yours.
